Bayside Suburb Profiles

Popular seaside towns dot the coastline north and south of the Brisbane River mouth. To the north, Sandgate, Brighton and Shorncliffe are buzzing suburbs with charming beaches, cute cafes, hip bars, historic architecture and the iconic Shorncliffe Pier to explore. To the south, Wynnum features a tidal wading pool and water park for children, and Manly is home to the southern hemisphere's largest marina, which is filled with magnificent yachts. It has also become a little hub for new restaurants and bars!

Birkdale

Covering the postcode 4159 in the City’s north-west, Birkdale arcs from the Redlands Coast boundary with Brisbane around to the Moreton Bay foreshore between Thorneside and Wellington Point and includes one of Redlands Coast two canal estates, Aquatic Paradise.

Brighton, Deagon, Sandgate and Shorncliffe

Ormiston

Thornlands

A location to love, the family will benefit from the short five-minute drive to both Faith Lutheran and Carmel Colleges and the water´s edge of Moreton Bay is within easy reach with gorgeous beaches, boat ramps and bay ferries. Thornside

Nestled between Wellington Point and Tingalpa Creek on Waterloo Bay, Thorneside is Redlands Coast northern-most – and geographically smallest – mainland suburb and retains much of it's old village character.

Wellington Point
